The game is a linear story-driven shooter with (very) light RPG elements (that enhance the story).
Grigorovich was right after all, linear shooter :nono:

I wonder if they did it on purpose so it won't just get called "Stalker underground"?
Only hope left is in that it follows book closely and doesn't have MP.

It could still be awesome if the shooter gameplay mechanics are interesting or if it has awesome atmosphere or interesting story ... or preferably all of these.

Worth watching solely for the fact it's about Ukrainian game in Russian with English dubbing commented by a German.
And what kind of genre is "Ego-Shooter"?
Loving the "in-body" stuff though: You can see him reaching and grabbing stuff, pulling out the map, you can see the magazine emptying, etc. I kind of hoped more games will do it after Far Cry 2. Absolutely no HUD is great too.
Also getting kind of Half-Life 2 vibe from it.

Wow, ages since I last heard that term. If I recall correctly, it was used to describe single player "adventure" shooters, like Doom or Half-Life, as opposed to multiplayer-oriented arena shooters, like UT or Quake 3. I used to see it used by the Romanian branch of German-based PC Games magazine, years ago.

It's the German term used for first-person shooters, "ego" basically standing for first-person. Doesn't matter what sort of shooter it is, Ostriig - unless they use the same term slightly differently in other countries.

Looks kinda nice, although the Kraut saying she hadn't seen anything so atmospheric since BioShock left a bad taste in my mouth.
