I noticed that each time I revisit the Theif forums all of the messages posted remain unread. Normally after checking things out I would come back later and only newly posted messages would show. Do I need to check something off to return it to the original way?

The way the forums track which threads you have read has changed.
Previously it would consider all threads as read after fifteen minutes of inactivity. After the recent upgrade the forums now track exactly which threads you have read during the previous 10 days.
In the individual forums you can use the 'Forum Tools' drop down to pick the 'Mark this Forum Read' button, or you can use the 'Mark Forums Read' link at the bottom of the forum homepage.

OK that worked. Thank you.

Marking forum read in Comm Chat makes all the lightbulbs go off on every forum.

Works fine for me. Are you sure you used the 'Forum Tools' menu rather than the 'Quick Links' one?

Errr, no. I used the Quick Links one. Where is the Forum Tools one?
Edit: Oh I see it now. Duh. This feature richness is too complex for me now!

I have a similar problem with my User Control Panel. All the threads I've subscribed to (as many as the page allows to show at a time) are showing up as unread. I open them up anyway to see if there are new posts, because some that do have new posts are listed, but some of the listed threads are old, too.
Basically it's showing the threads with the most recent last-posts on top, descending like they should, but it doesn't stop once it gets to threads where there are NO new posts. I have to use my MEMORY (dear god!) to know what's new and what's not.
Should this be in its own thread?
