http://snltranscripts.jt.org/95/pics/95kgreetings.jpgDuring the Christmas season, I received many Christmas cards. Unfortunately, because I was so busy, I didn't have time to send out any myself. So, if I could, I'd like to use this as my Christmas card to everyone who was kind enough to send one to me.
"Dear Friend, or Relative, or Business Associate. Merry Christmas, or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or Solstice, or Voodoo Day.
Boy, what a year it's been - me, with my acting, and, you doing whatever it is that you do. Thanks for the Christmas card, it was very beautiful, or humorous. I enjoyed the photo of your kid, or kids. Boy, he, or she, or they are really getting big. Have you seen our mutual friend, if we have one? Can you believe what he or she is up to? Boy, some people! Has your son, or daughter, or sister, or brother, or husband, or wife still have that drug problem? All you can do is trust in God, or, if you prefer, voodoo.
How is Granny, or Nana, or Mimi, or Yaya? So so? Hey, how about the professional sports team that we both root for? They should fire, or rehire that manager of theirs. He's a character!
Well, gotta go. By the way, sorry about throwing up on your carpet that time, or times. I hope you receive many presents from Santa, or Hanukkah Guy, or the Voodoo Man.. and that the coming year is as good as, or better than, or nothing like the last year.
Love, Alec.

bit late, but that's the post of the year right there :D
Can't claim the honor of authorship for that - it belongs to an anonymous someone wittier than myself. But it's still refreshingly satiric.
I thought this one had made rounds already.

Merry Christmas!!! We get to open presents today, since tomorrow my family is flying to a family reunion in the Dominican Republic(edit: no, we're not dominican, we're heinz 57's with majority of our heritage being irish and scottish). I have mixed feelings about the trip, but x-mas comes early for me because of it!
Same with me, except Pittsburgh rather than Dominican Republic (but hey, what's the difference?). I'll be the first to post what I got:
One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Alexander Solzhenitsyn
Storm of Steel by Ernst Junger
Clash of Civilizations and Who Are We? both by Samuel Huntington
The Stranger by Albert Camus
Yeah, I'm a pretty big nerd.

cool, i guess you like books, too. i got:
-Murder on the Orient Express(game+book)
-A pair of hand crafted widdling knives (that I almost stabbed myself with upon unwrapping)+plus 3 How-to books
-Some weird Japanese Rice candy, where you eat the wrapping as well.
-Archery fingerguards+wrist guard
-And finally, a Samsung Helix(XM2Go). (Which is really cool, but I've yet to get a fricken signal. If I'm even in my house, zero bars. I have to stand in one spot outside, and can't put it in my pocket because there is no longer a clear view of the sky.) However, it has twice the memory as my original mp3 player, and the recording on the spot is nice, if i ever get a signal.
Well, heading out in 5 hours. Hope I don't get mugged... I hate family reunions. And they had to pick a place with sun, heat, and beaches. My three banes. Give me a cave in the mountains at absolute zero, anyday.
Edit: .....with an internet connection, of course.
