Yuletide felicitations, and all that!
I hope you all have a nice Christmas break, whether you take or put any religious significance into it is purely of value to yourself, but this is also a great time to spend with family and friends, enjoy a holiday and perhaps snag a few excellent gifts (as well as give something nice to people you love).
Luckily, I've got an adopted family to spend Christmas with, which is nice as just the three of us might've been a little lonely. :D
Got to say though, despite the fact that we just had carol singers in our office and that the day is unusually overcast and rainy, I still don't feel in the slightest bit Christmassy. I'm convinced it's due to the fact that Australians haven't tried to capture Christmas for themselves, they cling to the Victorian snow-frosted image when really it should be Santa in Shorts at a barbie.

Merry Xmas, Happy Holidays to you too Scots
And Ducky.
and everyone at TTLG.
Haven't felt very Christmassy for some time.
Am working to recapture what it felt like ....
It used to be very snowy and Christmassy in Boston when I was a kid.
It's mostly brown and wet around here now.
Even though the pleasure at being able to say "Merry Christmas" to a stranger without worrying about offending anyone seems to have disappeared with the snow, I'm determined to be happy and cheerful about the whole thing.
This is a good place to start. :D
... and to all a good night.

I remember them doing the same thing in Singapore when I was there. It just never felt right to have snow sleighs and Santas in warm woolly clothes on display when it boiling hot and about 90% humidity.
That said, it doesn't look like we're going to get snow for Christmas this year in Germany either. :(
Ah, well, Merry Fricken' Christmas, anyway!

Merry Christmas Scotts and to all Nuthousers.
A quiet Christmas down here in deepest darkest Cornwall. At present it is feeling very seasonal with a hard frost turning every thing white and sparkly.
Dear wife finishes work today and joins the whole of the UK for a 10 day break except for the shop assistants (poor buggers)
The Christmas pud is made and soaking nicely, the Duck and Beef get picked up this evening and the Guinness and Bermuda Black Seal Rum are in the cellar. All set methinks.
Thanks to you all for another year of excellent internets , may all your Christmas wishes come true.
