Hmm, that's disconcerting. Do you still have the save from before the crashes?
I think it crashed because it was still loading things in the background since it was my first time going to Southquarter after loading the game. After going to the Docks and the Abyssal Gale I saved fine.
Also I'm actually hyped its a VR game. Love my PSVR2. It's the only way I play the original Doom thanks to a GZDoomVR mod. You wouldn't think a game as old as Doom would work well in VR but it's excellent.

Been a busy weekend haven't been gaming much. Took a break from the new Thief VR game to test this map more.
First, this was really really stupid on my part. I went into the SneakyTweaker options and messed with what DX8 to DX9 wrapper I was using even tho I had manually messed with it outside of SneakyTweaker options. When I closed SneakyTweaker it said the DX8 wrapper is in an unstable state and Sneaky Tweaker would likely need to be reinstalled.
The game stopped loading. Crap. So I downloaded the latest version of DXVK and dragged the latest DX8 and DX9 32-bit .dlls ontop of the ones in the Thief 3 folder. Now the game is launching again. I dunno what I was thinking. If it aint broke don't fix it. I was using dgVoodoo 2 with ReShade installed on top of it I think before I started messing with it.
Anyway. I finished the Abyssal Gale and put the Pagan Tree in their compound and shot a bunch of arrows into their Pagan symbol so now Hammers and Pagans are both Allies.
Before going to the Widows House I decided to mess around with the City some more.......and it crashes when I go back to South Quarter. I'm actually not sure where Angeloader stores savegame I need to look that up then post it. I was thinking of doing the Widow mission then coming back and seeing if I can go back to South Quarter with no crashes.

Went to the Widows mansion which ported me to the Keepers, I was able to go to Stonemarket Plaza.......heard a bunch of commotion around the corner to proper and saw this. Don't think this spawn is correct.

I played to a point where I cannot progress.
After the Clocktower mission, but before you return to the Keepers and hence the Enforcers I went to Stonemarket proper right in front of the Hammerite church and heard a Keeper Enforcer talk. Then the two guards were attacking something invisible and not moving. This turned into a big crazy brawl because random thugs attacked the guards then the Hammers got involved. Was crazy. Reloaded my Quicksave and same thing happened. The guards seemed to see an invisible Keeper Enforcer?
After that I progressed the story to where you have to go back to your apartment.
Got to Stonemarker but when I take the teleporter back to South Quarter I get a crash to desktop every single time. Tried switching DX8 Wrappers. Made no difference.

I've been wanting to play Thief in VR since Occulus appeared and made it seem feasible. Then they got bought by Facebook and I lost interest right there... But from reading some of the Thief VR thread it seems like these devices are more standardised now, and we're past idiocy like requiring a Meta account to use an Occulus device? If that's the case I may 'bite' when the Steam Frame gets an OLED update. :)

Thanks - downloaded. I can see it's a Current Save, which is a temporary copy used during load. IIRC it won't work as a savegame. I'll try, but please hang onto the other saves...

There should never be more than 5, so definitely something abnormal there. Do you have a save from shortly before?

And the option for invisible enforcers was not enabled? Even if it was, a non-moving one is abnormal. Do you have a save here too?

Thanks for testing so far. There's no hurry getting additional saves uploaded because I've had a spot of SSD trouble - and some reconstruction work to do.

Sorry to hear about your SSD. I hope you have the stuff you are working on backed up somewhere. Back in the day a guy was working on the first 3D port of Doom called GLDoom and it was in beta, very close to 1.0. Then he had a HD crash and his backups were non-functioning and the whole project was lost for 10+ years
You asked a lot of questions I will just respond in one post. Waiting for the Steam Frame isn't a bad idea but you can get a used PSVR2(OLED) for $240 on eBay right now. I love mine. Zero regrets purchasing it. There is an active community releasing the PSVR2 Toolkit:

Supposedly a big update to PSVR2 Toolkit is releasing in early 2026.
Don't know if it matters but I have the Minimalist mod turned completely off as I feel it ruins the atmosphere Thief 3 was going for.
When I got 6 NPCs to spawn I had just left the Keepers are and ran around the top of the map to Stonemarket Proper, I always get Plaza and Proper mixed up in my mind. I was right past the guards in front of St. Edgar's Church when I heard a loud noise with a ton of voices and ran around the corner to Stonemarket Plaza at the St. Edgar's Church entrance. That is where I took the screenshot.
Enforcers are set to Standard not Invisible. The thing is this happened BEFORE Enforcers should even be in the story. Like I heard a phantom Enforcer chat and saw the guards attacking an invisible spot before you return to the Keepers and the cutscene triggers where the Enforcers are sent after you.
I don't know if the SneakyTweaker options even effect Fan Missions or not.
I need to dig through my savegames and see what I have. For the record, when I have been playing through the game I haven't been doing anything weird or extreme. Just playing it like anyone else would play it moving place to place to see if any obvious bugs popped out.

These two Quicksaves are from late in the game where you are trying to run back to your apartment. I cannot. I zone to South Quarter and the game crashes immediately.

I just checked and I have a savegame from right where I took the screenshot. Dunno if you want it or not. Also.......there are not 6 of that NPC there are 9, just 6 visible and they aren't clones. Some of them have different loot then the others.

I doubt it matters but I am running the texture mod. I didn't set my Deadly Shadows back to default or anything before loading the test map.
