Foxy Knoxy is a great nickname which is now sadly unusable by others

The opposition advocate got overly nervous about facing off against me and ended up giving the job to someone else, who did an admirable (if sometimes misleading - he way overstated the definitiveness of the DNA evidence) job of representing the Italian prosecution.
Unfortunately, it all ended up being for moot because two of the three judges were morons.
Judge A: "The Italian court found her guilty, therefore she must be guilty, therefore the trial was fair." I'm not even exaggerating here, that's practically a verbatim quote. I mean this isn't a law class but wow.
Judge B: "I cannot decide therefore I am siding with my seminar group because they are my friends (the opposition)."
Judge C was more nuanced and actually sided with me, but ended up not mattering. Ugh. What a waste of effort on both sides.

The italian magistratura is something more rot than the USA courts, so I don't trust completely about the sentence. In my opinion Lumumba is culprit too. And for Knox and Sollecito, I wouldn't trust about one guy whose pictures depicts (
http://www.hitsusa.com/1-good-ones/raffaele-sollecito-cleaver.jpg) himself with a big cleaver, enfolded by some toilet paper O_O, more: the questura intercepted a call by his father who told him to not bring around his personal knife, and Sollecito answered that he he had nothing to mind, because the cops at the questura neither raked him. Even if there's no concrete proofs, I'm sure that these guys are involved.

Massi you'll always get points in book when you rant about how the Italian courts, government, police, etc, are rotten pigs.

No, because this is a very polite British setting and giving them shit about it would accomplish nothing other than making me look like an uptight asshole.
I did say that I demanded a retrial on account of a prejudiced judge (Judge B) which got some laughs, but yeah. The professor of this class is a really nice guy, which is usually pleasant but he never calls people out for being lazy.

This is why this country is going to shit. People worry about looking like they are an uptight asshole rather than actually challenging nonsense/pointing out how stupid an idea/policy is.

Well, I'm glad I could play a part in turning your country to shit! GO USA!
Seriously dude, I think you're missing the point. It would have accomplished nothing. It's an ungraded exercise and the final class of the semester, so nothing rides on it. Making a stink about it would have lessened whatever educational value it had by causing people to focus on my behavior rather than the circumstances and perils of the situation.
Additionally, we are role-playing lawyers here, and once you're done with your closing arguments you just have to sit there and take the judge being a moron, assuming you don't want to be thrown out of court and/or disbarred.

Are you in the remedial class or something? I think that pointing out that just because she has been found guilty doesn't mean she IS guilty (and you can quote from any number of cases of false imprisonment in recent years, for the Brits you might like to remind them about the Guildford 4) is almost EXACTLY the issue. Its not "making a stink" its taking the roleplay situation seriously.
Grow some balls ffs.
