It's more unsettling and visually stunning than 10 E3's put together.

Played this a while ago, it's awesome.

Thanks for mentioning this one. Had a quick play (40 mins I think). Pretty good overall. Takes your brain a while to get used to all the glitching going on.
A basic level of dos language is needed to get past the intial cmd screen. That threw me for a few seconds. Also working out what in the hell your supposed to be doing took me a few minutes. That said, that's half the fun.
Took me AGES to work out where in the hell to go at the end, since you often don't know where a "wall" will lead to.
Oh and the BSOD screen at the end managed to trick me. I thought my PC had blue screened for a minute there until it took you back to the command prompt again.

I know I'm pretty late, but I only discovered this now while taking some time off over the weekend to check out some indie games: This game fits me perfectly; great atmosphere, great sound design, and I love the over-all glitchy nature and how it lets me discover things on my own. This will definitely be something I'll play when it's done.
It reminds me a lot of The Witness -- not in the aesthetics of course, but in how the rules of the game are deliberately kept obscure and not immediately defined.

Is this the prototype you're all talking about, or is there a new version?

I played the preview build made available in September 2015. I don't know if it's changed since the original post.

Same here. Not heard of any updated versions since.
