I made all the frames for the animation as textures, put them as separate materials in matlib, put them on the mesh as separate skins using numbers as names, and finally used script to change the skins one by one.

There is a voice in the scripts that allows to change skin?? Interesting!
What is this?

Dude, if you're really interested in that, take up the initiative and dig in the script window for a while. I'm sure you'll find it.

Don't you remember that?
Judith on 3/12/2009 at 06:30
Of course not! And I don't have the editor in front of me to chcek it, because I'm at work. You would have checked this method 10 times already if you'd investigated the thing by yourself, instead of waiting for someone to give you the solution. I don't remember the exact phrase, but there's something like that in Actions under Objects, I suppose. Conditions are up to you and the way you choose to trigger that.

OK thanks. 't was just curiosity, since I guess the animation would be in any case slow, beacuse of the too few frames per second. But this combination could turn useful in other circumstances.

Are you still working on this? I've been trying to find a mission that could cure my adrenaline junkie fetish for these awesome robots and when I see that you've been succeeding in putting a bot in Thief 3, I'm like 'ZOMG!'.
I'm hoping you have more videos and stuff and you've (maybe) finished? =D
