Smoking weed for this sounds like a terrible idea, given that you described the brain fog as the worst part. Even a good, uplifting sativa seems unlikely to help get you out of the brain fog. Might make you mind being fogged less, while fogging you up more.

cbd oil works a bit like anti-depressants, you have to use it for a while before seeing any results. Keep in mind that most contain little to no thc, so you wont be getting high off it.

Cocaine seems a more likely cure against chronic fatigue. Once you're on it, get a job interview right away, you'll need money to finance your new cocaine addiction. And bug powder.

Damn you dema! That's what I was told 2 weeks ago. I was so hoping I could have some kind of quick fix for an underactive thyroid or something. Guess it's just a grotty neck (previous official diagnosis), osteoarthritis and old age.
I'm so sorry, Gray. My godmother had ME 35 odd years ago - she also had to fight to get some kind of recognition that something was wrong. But there was a small snippet you slipped in and I'm happy to read that there's some possible emotional happiness for you.
TTLG is still a place to come to rant and rave and know there are people who feel for you and care about you.

Dema, that pretty much explains my first ten years of dealing with doctors. Then I didn't have to anymore.
And cocaine? Sounds like the most terrible idea possible, I'm already wired, twitchy, jumpy and poor. Why would I want to make THAT worse?

I'm sorry to hear you've been having such a hard time for so long. I've got a good friend who's in a similar situation: having to deal with a chronic health condition, as well as the unsupportive or dismissive attitudes of the medical profession.
I'm wondering in which country you're situated, and if you've tried addressing yourself to alternative health system in other countries? I'm not suggesting this will work, but I've recently had the opportunity to talk with an friend of a friend who's a medical intern, and he shared his disillusionment towards how western medicine considers the treatment of chronic health conditions according to "evidence based" and "objective" criteria rather than clinical signs (as was the case a few decades ago).
In this context, "evidence based" means that doctors only look on what emerges on paper after bloodtests, rather than piecing together the problem from the clinical signs presented by their patients. I'm under the impression that a regrettable side-effect of such a methodology is medical practitioners tending not to listen to their patients, or take them seriously, and instead relying solely on what they can see on paper, exams results, etc..
This leads me to believe that this lacunae or (blind spot) is more or less acknowledged by some found within the medical system, that it may be a systemic problem, perhaps related to the currently accepted methods or paradigm.
Then again, I may be wrong, I'm not myself in any way involved or familiar with the medical profession myself. If anyone here can shed some light, or confirm/infirm my impressions, it would be greatly appreciated.
In either case, I imagine it must be immensely frustrating to address oneself to specialists who should (in theory) be in a position to help, but who (in reality) tend to minimize, or even negate the existence of any justifiable health condition. I'm happy to hear that you've at least been able to have your condition recognized and currently have access to medical benefits.
I wish you best of luck dealing with this. I hope you have a reliable support network?
