There isn't a "cure" for Crohn's either.

Speak for yourself, I know many raw foodists that have managed to cure Crohn's Disease, and even cancer. Read up on Paul Nisson. There IS a cure, it's just that many people don't want to acknowledge their nutrition is the cause of their problem. Doctor's told me they would have to remove my colon when I was 16 years old..I made the jump and haven't looked back yet. No more colon disease. No more removed colon. You don't have to believe. Experience the results for yourself. Or do searches for "raw foods" on YouTube.

I can't recall the last time a new member managed to destroy their credibility in such a short space of time.

:laff:
Did it ever occur to you that if there was such an obvious "cure" to such illnesses as cancer and Crohn's that doctors and pharmaceutical companies would be all over trying to identify the exact trigger of the condition and work to treat/monopolize it? What do you think is most logical, removing an entire part of the digestive system or changing your diet? Do you really think that the entirety of western medicine has come up empty handed on these things while you've discovered a complete cure yourself with a simple diet change? You're also completely ignoring the fact that Crohn's disease has a very well identified genetic component in addition to something that seems to be centered in western environments. Even if there is even a remote hint of truth to your statements, it's most likely the fact that these diseases have gone into a remission period that may or may not be connected to removing agitators from your diet.
EDIT: Also, BUY A BABY BOOK!!! :p

I used to have everything from Crohn's Disease to Asperger's Syndrome,
Might I enquire as to the origins of this diagnosis
ArcturusXIV on 10/11/2008 at 00:36
I was diagnosed by various specialists. And no, I'm not talking about quacky new age holistic physicians either. My Asperger's Syndrome was diagnosed by an ADHD specialist who is one of the leading experts on Asperger's in the United States. As far as my method "not working," speak for yourself. When you're dying of something, you'll try anything to stay alive. I gave raw foods a chance, and they worked for me. If you don't believe me, just do some searches on google...people have cured all sorts of conditions just by changing their diet. It's ridiculous to think that what you eat doesn't affect your bodily health. I know I'm not going to convince anyone, but NONE OF YOU can explain why some people manage to put their condition into remission if raw foods "does not work." Obviously, it's worked for some people. Otherwise we wouldn't have books about colon health.
As far as doctors go, I visit them for checkups and so on, but I'm rarely ever sick. And doctor's have no nutritional training. I read somewhere that in their entire university education, they only spend 30 MINUTES studying the effects of nutrition on the human body. It seems pretty incredible to me, considering we eat three times a day. You are what you eat. Take responsibility for your life and your health.
