Here's one more person wishing for you to "get well" ... or at least to get to the same condition you were before. Whichever comes first. I'm a big advocate for free health care, so I hope the system you have in Canada will work for you.
lets correct this attitude

Dude,
I have something that may help you out. Go on a raw food diet... Seriously. It's the healthiest diet out there, fruits, nuts, seeds, and raw leafy greens. It's a tough diet to do, but I've been doing it for my health over the past few years, and all my health problems have vanished. I used to have everything from Crohn's Disease to Asperger's Syndrome, and I was able to cure it as my body gradually detoxed from all the chemicals in our processed food. You will need a good book to start out. I recommend David Wolfe's "The Sunfood Diet Success System," though Stephen Arlin writes some good stuff as well--he's a raw foodist body builder, a world champ. If you're interested in body building after you get established, I would check out his books.

In the old days we didn't whine about waiting for MRIs, we let the tumors grow until they poked out of our skulls and then cut them off with a rusty saw and cleaned the wound with moonshine and wolverine piss.

Some of us still do that, fancy pants west coast elites!

If you were able to "cure" Asperger's Syndrome, you didn't have Asperger's Syndrome to begin with. Autism is incurable, you can learn to cope and live with it to some degree, that's all.

It's not so much a "cure" as it is the symptoms vanished. And so did my needs for meds. I feel confident now, which is a feeling I've never had in my entire life. I am starting to pick up on social cues. And for once in my life, I have a girlfriend.
Asperger's is a terrible condition to live with, but the symptoms can be controlled. In fact, I would say the condition is more of a "benefit" to me now that I'm high raw than a "debilitating" condition. I used to be on disability for it because I was so impaired I couldn't even focus on a day job.
