Alright after spending countless hours building models for characters and weapons in maya I was ready to import them into Morrowind for some old fasion D&D action. BUT NO!!! It turns out that all the plug ins for that sort thing use 3d max YIPPEE DO! Does anyone know how to import maya models into the morrowind editor? The more descriptive tutorial the better! I do not need a how to skin or how to build a new character using the pre-existing body parts that CD 2 supplies.
-any help, direction, link, DL, will help..
Thanks--

Maya > 3ds > MW is how I'd say, but I dunno if theres any better way, as I cant get to the editor right now to see if it can directly import 3ds (if Maya exports to 3ds).

I believe you can export objects as obj. and there is a plugin for maya which allows you import 3ds files but I don't think it would do me much good if I don't have 3d MAX ....
