Has anyone figured out how to create a custom MatLib? I seem to remember these as 3DSMax files. I tried exporting one of the materials (textures), but it doesn't offer any file extension format.
Unreal has always used textures easily created and modified within UTX files. T3DS is 95% MatLibs.

The method i've been using - clear out the autoloading mat lib and as i create new materials, add them to the library. repeat until a) annoyed by max, b) max crashes or c) my XSI icon reminds me what a real animation package should be ;)
then i save my mat lib to disk and run the mat export script found under the utils panel.
seems to be working fine so far but there's a nagging feeling that the cake script should be involved in the process somewhere.

The Readme provided with the editor(well that was supposed to be provided with the editor but you'll have to download from another place) should cover this. I know that the editor beta testers had this working.
