thanks for everyone's help! :cheeky:
and I think I'm gonna take Ryushi's advice... these telvanni councelors are starting to piss me off... especially Aryon if i click on chores he says "I think your ready for magistrate" then when I click on magistrate he says "you have forsworn magistrate by becoming a master"
Grrrrrrr Die Aryon!!!

You're supposed to kill every one of those councillors as part of the Main Quest. Well, not really supposed to, but Bethesda put in accomodations if you decide to do that as an alternative to talking to the leaders of House Skooma-addict. I guess they were just that annoying. However, it would be a good idea to let Aryon live, just in case you need him to confirm you as Hortator in the Main Quest. Then bast his brains out. I recommend using an Iron Warhammer. Makes the act every bit more satisfying.
Ender9594 on 5/6/2003 at 09:24
well I guess I could controll my reflex of killing everyone who doesn't give me what I want:ebil:
but... how could bethesda send the game out anyway? that is a big bug just like the orc(who you need for the second quest) dissapearing... plus I have the platnum version(the ones they remade) they should have fixed the bugs in that version and I heard that a bug like that is a Don't ship bug...but all in all its a good game!

Well, Johnny, there is one simple rule that can help you to determine where those pesky problems originate from! XBOX sucks. You see, Johnny, XBOX was created at the hands of Microsoft to test out the software end of the new TCPA standard, alled Palladium. Not much more. The basic specs couldn't really contend with a 486DX and a GeForce 256. Being the shining example of capatalism, Microsoft didn't really care, as long as they could test out Palladium on a PC-like platform and, more importantly, see how vulnerable it was to hardware tampering. Bethesda and other software companies that made games for XBOX, both exclusively and multiple platform release, are what you would call "pawns." So, Johnny, when you see an XBOX title and there's an alternative... Even if it's Gamecube, feel free to go for it!

Actually, the Xbox is a fantastic way to get a cheap PC that can run Morrowind and still keep it looking good.
Big, open-ended games like Morrowind are absolute nightmares to test, and I'm not suprised at the bugs that were still in it.
RyushiBlade on 5/6/2003 at 09:54
Yeah. After hand placing everything, creating the geological features, writing the scripts, writing the dialogue, character models and so on... I wouldn't blame them. Morrowind is huge and they can't fix every bug.
Kafein on 5/6/2003 at 17:16
yeay i have the same problem (or nearly the same)
firstly, ender, you should choose to be either a master or a magister.... if u become a magister, u have the chance to become the arch-magister by killing gothren... if u chose to be a master, u stay like that... having a mouth is a quest that u should have done before.... if u still don't have one, u can't be a master... anyway... don't click on the chores, just click on the magistrate, and then he should say something like "u have foresworn to be a arch-magister"... i am at this point. i think we should then talk to the other mage-lords, and then go and kill gothren as ryushi says... i haven't tried to go any further as i'm too busy with the daedric quests these days:rolleyes:
and since Morrowind keeps me addicted to it for months (and seems to be for years), i don't mind if it is bugged or not... that game is uncomparable with any other game that has been produced... it doesn't have to be perfect... at least i don't mind...
(...a morroWorshipper)
and i've enchanted a ring called "poweRing" :p it fortifies strength 1-46 (constant):)
RyushiBlade on 5/6/2003 at 19:04
Heh, I fortified two rings, pants, shirt and belt. I skipped the amulet since my strength was high enough already. Then when I got corprus I decided it couldn't be considered cheating if my strength was already that high...
If I were you I'd try to get atleast 200 strength. That way you can carry 1000 pounds of anything you find! Heh.
Kafein on 5/6/2003 at 20:29
heh:D u've mixed the threads up a bit hah? ah sorry it is because of the poweRing.... but it was for the connection with the word "morroWorshipper"... anyway we can continue from this thread : ) actually my character tries to be a mage...so there are some other things that should be fortified... he has a shirt that restores health 2pts... and pants that summons hunger... but i will make constant effect pants because it's weird to have a "cast when used" on pants and "constant" on rings... anyway.. he also wears a skirt that fortifies his strength by 22:)...and top of that he has the robe of drakes pride...
and... he has the aryons helper and dominator as gloves (so he had to leave his glass bracers at home)...he has the boots of blinding speed, and saviors hide on chest... and he changes masque of clavius vile and helm of oveyn bearclaw for the situation... and sometimes gothren's cephahold helm... so... there is only amulet and two rings left right? he has the "amulet of the adventurer" (my creation : D ) that has constant night eye19pts+water breathing+detect creature10ft, amulet of shadows, almsivi int, divine int, admonition and some other...so he can't use a constant amulet... he has to change it too frequently... and rings, he uses a constant one on one finger (like denstagmers, marara's (or whatever that vampiress is (was) called) etc... and he uses the poweRing when there is too much to carry... (ie: when he finds a damn daedric claymore)... and the other finger is usually reserved for attack rings...there are several... no need to mention... so what is left? ah! and he has a belt that has a constant levitate 2 pts of course... so... since he can't enchant his briefs, there is nothing left to enchant for fortify strength:( but it is nonsense that we can use just 2 rings at once.... if it was real, i would use 10 rings (at least:p ) and some amulets as well... ok it would be stupid to use more than one belt but why just two rings???:grr:
oh!!! sorry he has the glass pouldrons, greaves and tower shield but i don't dare to enchant them as i feel like changing them as soon as i find a good, enchanted, light armor with a high armor rating... is there? no...: ( except saviors hide... anyway i think i should start with enchanting the towershield...
feeeeewwww!!! i'm sorry guys...:o it has been too long...:erm: no...:erg: i've just decided not to shorten it... ryushi i can write all these as a list to your thread about the constant effects our characters have... at the time i've seen it, my character had very few such items... but now there is enough to make a "list":cheeky:
RyushiBlade on 5/6/2003 at 23:06
*trying desperate to seperate two threads tangled in the recesses of his mind* ... Wha.. ?
... Oooh... right. You can't wear ten rings because, if this game follows suit with other fantasy titles, the powers of the rings would react with eachother. That would do one of a few things.. 1) Explode, 2) Turn your fingers to jelly or 3) Add three extra fingers on your hand that are only visible while eating banana pudding. Can't mess around if you're playing with magic ;)
