I think part of it is that they used such shitty, low res textures.

I don't remember anything in the first two games looking nearly that bad. Even with the texture bug in ME1.

So it's exactly like ME1 and 2.

Actually, the game is significantly more difficult than the previous games in the series. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true.

ME2 was awful too,but ME1 wasnt that bad,at least it had controllable vehicle and planets to explore

how exactly is it more difficult ? you need to stay in cover for a longer time because your health regenerating little slower and your enemy's have a bit more hit points ?

Well, compared to ME1, biotics aren't an "I win" button anymore. And I'm pretty sure the weight system hurts non-spellcasters quite a bit as well.

RE: "Citadel" DLC. It's massive in the amount of content you COULD experience. The amount dialogue and scene branches are staggering, it's comparable to something from the full vanilla games rather what you'd expect from a DLC. Entire scenes can play out differently if the particular squad-mate is dead in your save. This is clearly the biggest DLC that Bioware has produced to date.
My God, the voice actress who play Brooks (the "comic relief" character in the DLC) is TERRIBLE. She slips from an English accent into a Yank one, then Australian and finally back to Yank.
Also character and facial animations for humans and human-likes (i.e. Asari) are awful. The dead-eyed stare of Brooks in particular is quite creepy and I just saw a cutscene where she strides off like a robot (it was Oblivion levels of bad in that moment). I swear that I remember Mass Effect 1 being way better in this department; you wouldn't think that a sequel would get worst in a cosmetic area such as this.

Why not? It's DLC, and a huge one at that. Seems logical that content was the focus, while things like animations and such slipped into the background. Speaking of Oblivion, did you ever get around to it?

I'm sure I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but ME3 was ugly as hell. The models/textures/animations were terrible, and doing my first playthrough immediately after playing ME1/ME2 made it even more appalling.
Phatose on 7/3/2013 at 04:23
Well, Citadel is straight-up fanservice.
But ME3 desperately needed a huge dose of that, so it's actually quite nice.
