Besides, they suddenly aren't going to seize major marketshare from Steam any time soon, if ever. Just fire up Origin when you want to play the rare game which requires it, big fucking deal.
That's just it. I don't have any particular dislike for any digital distribution services besides Steam. It's just that I don't trust EA not to do something incredibly stupid at some point in the near future. Like if I were to buy three games, but not log in for a month after playing them, it wouldn't surprise me if they suddenly decide to permanently deactivate my account due to lack of use. And this is despite them saying otherwise. EULAs change on a daily basis in Software Land. Or even worse, ban me for installing a completely harmless mod for a single player game.
Considering how cavalier they've been about customer support in the past, it'll take a huge amount of good will for them to earn my trust.
And before someone claims I'm being overly paranoid, then think about it this way. How has EA acted in regards to their online services in the past? Are they likely to change? Yeah. I don't particularly want to trust them with hundreds of dollars worth of purchases anytime soon.

Pretty much what Renz said. Additionally, it's also a growing hassle to manage different accounts with different services (Steam, Origin, D2D, GoG etc.) just to play my games. Right now it isn't too bad, but imagine if we have like 10-20 of those outlets in the future. Yes, creating a spreadsheet just to keep track of which of my accounts has which game is my lazy threshold.

The other thing to keep in mind with Origin is that EA have a nasty track record of decommissioning servers for old games when a new one in the series is due out. I can only see that getting worse with Origin.

I wasn't going to be buying ME3 for PC anyway, with my current favourite ME2 platform being the PS3, but there are lots of things that EA are doing with ME3 that are potentially putting me off of buying it at all.
I really don't like EA trying to force another digital distribution platform on PC gamers, especially when given their track record.
I also feel that multiplayer has been unnecessarily shoe-horned in to the series purely because marketing think that multiplayer is the future. (

Trailer featuring the only good incarnation of Shepard.

Mass effect yuck! i refuse to support this series and dragon age. just no...they are not even half the games that the legacy have produced. they have a few positives, but not enough to forgive all the negatives.

Shut up. You're dumb.

I'm in agreement with Eva's sentiments. Fem Shep is the only way to play.

I've had my fair share of foot-in-mouth-moments .. but you take the cake.
Every thread I've read tonight since I got home from work has had you in it cocking everything up. Sure dethy might be provoking you a bit, but in truth, he is just being a good angler, and you're falling it for it like a skydiver on Jupiter.
