Glad you like the game, Child of Karras, but do you really think "the graphics are nothing to boast about?".... I think 75% of what makes Morrowind so addictive is the scenery, landscape, and weather effects. Sure, the game is very open-ended, but only really towards exploration and character advancement.
Still, enjoy your first treck through Vvardenfell, and have fun taking out your first steam centurion. :)
Btw, if you like meaningful RPG's, have you played Planescape: Torment yet? If you enjoyed Fallout, I'm sure that it'll blow you away. It's similar to Baldur's Gate in some ways, but in terms of dialogue, story, characters, and quests... it's so unique I'd hesitate to even call it an RPG. It's more like interactive literature. Very good game.

I think we need to persuade our Striker to set up a new website- Destination:Marrowmind :) My guess is that this game revolves around the player's epic battle with a mad god who has a mutated vegetable for a brain. The PC must defeat the evil Marrowmind underneath Radish Mountain in order to return peace and normality to the land of Vveggiefell.
Anyway, CoK, I second Illuminatus' comments about the graphics. I think they're incredible. The sunsets are the most stunning I've ever seen, including real-life ones :p I particularly love the mellow, peachy light in the late evening just before sundown. I have to admit that it took to me a few days of playing to begin to really appreciate the graphics, though; perhaps you'll alter your opinion when you've done some more travelling? :)
