Apologies for the lack of updates. I've been busy with T3Ed and am also waiting to hear Doc_Brown's thoughts about the whole Shalebridge\OQ thing, as we have reached a kind of fork in the road. Basically once that question is resolved the project can continue.

Well, really ensuring that the Mapping thread is brought back to a more noticable position so that Mugla, Doc_Brown and str8g8 can get back to their duties!

My duties lie elsewhere for the rest of the year, unfortunately. :(
But what are the others thinking right now?

Whether they are posted in this thread or another, I'd like to see more mission maps like the ones Sxerks posted above.

It's like I said in my last post, this is kind of like a fork in the road, there's little point working on the map until that fundamental question is resolved (namely, is Shalebridge the lower corner of Old Quarter, or a seperate district to the north of Old Quarter?). Doc_Brown is yet to voice his opinions on this (doubtless he has good reason by the way). In the mean time, we can always cast our vote, just to be clear where we stand.
We have 2 choices (these are simplified expressions of the choices, the previous discussion should provide the various arguments)
Choice A

For my part I prefer A.:)
cheers

I prefer A also. Could there not be a North Shalebridge and a South Shalebridge which are both refered to as Shalebridge? It's such a large city that I'm sure the locals wouldn't bother calling them North and South because they would normally refer to their local Shalebridge.

I like A also. But I have a stupid question. If A turns out to be the one, what happens to Murkbell? I know I have not posted alot, but I am very interested in this project and have been reading up all along. I hope you do not mind a question.

I'm sure we could find a home for it somewhere. :) The borders aren't fixed, it is most likely an outlying district of some kind...

I guess Midnight at Murkbell doesn't count as part of the canon, does it?

Not really, but it served as something to fill the gap in str8g8's map created by moving Shalebridge.
There's an extended debate about which is more accurate, over the last few pages - feel free to take a look. I'm a proponent of the layout in B, at least as far as in-game dialogue/evidence goes for me. At least as far as the layout in the most recent map, that is - earlier versions of the map allow for more fluidity with regards to this discrepancy, as I've already noted.
Again, the matter is up for debate at this juncture, and the future direction of the map seems to be hinging on it - thus the dearth of posts to this thread (that and the fact that Mugla and Doc_Brown seem to have real lives, the rats...;))
