when i said "the assassins map" i meant the in-game map you use to navigate around the level.. i dont recall where it says anything about the talismans... (I think you got "assassins map" confused with "keeper table map")

Ha HAAA! :o
I'm really tired.
So the answer is "No. That didn't help."
It didn't help that you were editing your post at the same time I was writing mine. Happens.
Ignore my post, obviously.
I'll step away from the computer now...

The keepermap and assasins map show the same area. You can find out this by piling them. It has been discussed that the keeper map is very old, and for instance shows a river which has been paved over by the time of "assassins".
EDIT: Ok, after weeks of battle with different wiki's, I finally found one which works (at least I think it works). As I have no previous knowledge of these things, I'll leave it up to you how to build it. I've done a couple of example pages in there, but if you think it's the wrong way to do it, just remove them.

and if one just wants to look at it without all the wiki editing stuff around:

I'm going to put the quotes, conversation et such in a easily linkable way, but this hasn't been done yet.

:thumb: nice work there MorbusG. Just getting all the maps in one place is a massive improvement. Well done! :)
For a start, I suggest a page based around Mulga's list of evidence, which can then be added to if need be.
cheers

I know this will sounds like stupid, but are you hoping for all quotes from the game or just the ones that have an effect on the map?
Mugla on 1/10/2005 at 11:30
Just the ones referring to locations zifnab, though the second or fourth-hand evidence might make it seem bigger.
I'm giving this wiki a thumbs-up. We can discuss the details required once we learn them by trial and error. ;)
Now to get to those maps we've discussed so much about.

MorbusG, you are officially my hero for doing what I didn't have the know-how to do... setting up a wiki (I'd put in a request with David to add a mapping wiki).
Thanks, and thanks again, for all yer hard work.
Now to get down to bidness!

My first post on this topic, so excuse me if I sound like a cartographic wannabe. I've been reading this thread with interest since it started, but haven't felt the need to post until now.
I have a problem with the current allocations of districts in the recent maps.
It has always seemed to me that The City should contain the 4 distinct quarters (and no other extraneous bits), each consisting of sub-districts. For example, I see the Old Quarter as a name used to describe the combined districts of Shalebridge (next to the bridge!), Stonemarket, Auldale (if the OQ spans the river - likely if it is the centre of and starting point of The City). and possibly Fendon or Dreckboun. The South Quarter contains New Market, the Wayside Docks and Down Town. The New Quarter (on the East side of the river) contains Dayport, Eastport and Shoalsgate, and the North Quarter is largely undefined (but might contain one of Fendon/Dreckboun).
I have a rough map based on this, and it seems to work very well with the facts (dare I say, better than other proposals). When I've tidied it up I'll post it for consideration.

Well, do post it then. :) Use photobucket.com just for clarity's sake. We're so used to it.
Anyhow, did you guys start on a rough version on your interpretations? I'm kinda anxious to see them.
