This is frustrating. I've got 116 zones, not sure how many brushes, size is only 3.4 mb, and it crashes if I add roughly 10 more static mesh items to my map, in any zone, in any location. What the heck? I'm basically putting in static meshes and AI now, and have a long way to go before finishing the level.
I'm worried that I'm gonna have to tear the map in half? Which would suck horribly badly. I read about adding a small map which would teleport into the level, but with the way I have my level worked out, that would also be lame.
Am I just screwed?

I'm pretty sure 3.4 MB is not even close to being too big, since the previously listed max size of 7 MB has been passed. Have you checked the level for off-grid BSP errors? I found that after fixing that problem (I had a something like 250 off the grid lol), not only did my file size get cut WAY down, but overall performance was significantly increased.
If it's just a regular .unr that doesn't require anything else, you can email it to me and I'll see if it crashes on my system, and if I notice anything odd.

Thanks for the advice doc. I fixed off-grid bsp which reduced size down
to roughly 3.2 mb. I can again add stuff, but whenever I hit around 3.5 mb, as before, it crashes.
