Isn't it strange that there are so much morrowindplayers? I know it's a very good game but its quit old already. I think it's great that there are still a lot fans. I'm playing the game for the second time now and it's still nice.

I picked it up the day it came out for the Xbox. A year later I upgraded to the "game of the year" edition. Started Tribunal, got so far, got burned out and quit entirely about 5 months ago.
Picked it up again about 3 weeks ago, finished Tribunal, well into Bloodmoon, and...I'm totally hooked again.
After literally a couple hundred hours into my character, (level 73 imperial barbarian), I'm just flat out amazed at how much stuff there still is to do, and see. I still have yet to ascend in the empire, I never did anything much for the Telvanni, never got far in house Llaalu (grandmaster of Redoran), never saw any of the Thieves missions (master of Fighters guild), never joined the Temple, never joined the Imperial Cult.
All that stuff to do and I've already seen a ton of shite!!!!! It's astounding the manhours that had to be put into creating all this. :wot:
I've spent a few recent evenings just wandering the wilderness in Vvardenfell, seeing places I haven't seen in over a year. Kinda cool, ya know? Finding a hidden cave or dungeon that I missed after all this time, even coming across a VERY valuable treasure that I missed.
As time wears on, I feel much more forgiving to BethSoft for some of the shortcomings of this game, and it's glitches. The amount of content that they made is nothing short of amazing. It's no wonder it won "game of the year".
I can only wonder at how the next installment is going to be. Even if they simply just updated the graphics engine and implemented npc scheduling, I'd be picking it up; guaranteed!!!!!
Certainly, they'd make the next game just a big as this one, I hope?

my brother had morrowind for the xbox, and I played it more than he did. so he gave it to me for my birthday. i played it for bout' 390+HRS. Well... maybe not THAT long... My brother then liked it again, and bought the 'Platnum Edition'. i then bought morrowind for computer to make mods. then, GOTY for xbox. then, GOTY for computer! Then, I lost xbox GOTY, so I bought a new one.
Now thats a morrowind story! It's like any game that's somewhat open-ended. you can find something to do, and do it several different ways. thats why GTA, and DF, and SIMS, and TES, and Microsoft games series are so popular! ( Flight simulator, "monster truck, midtown, motocross maddness", and so-on.)
I personally like morrowind for the editor. After playing the game for so long, it got stupid. so i'm re-making it! All the fence glitches, game crashes, corny dialogue, kinda bad sounds, bad texturing! too many glitches! But, I used to like morrowind for everything else. I still haven't done everything! i play morrowind all the time on the xbox. I guess it's just not much of a PC game for me.
But, it's all good. :thumb:
