Well Done to the Red Devils last night beating the dirty Blues in Moscow to win the Champions League!
Did you see Terry? Laughable as he realised "oh no, i'm shite at taking penalties".
What shocked me more was Avram Grant walked up to a clearly angry and deflated Terry, the captain of the club and...gave him a hug then walked away!
Expect Chelsea to look very different for the 08/09 season methinks.
Regardless, Manchester United thoroughly deserved it and won in the most extreme conditions possible - ie: the pouring rain and penalties.
Nice!

I disagree that United "thoroughly deserved" the win. I also detest the penalty shootout and hope FIFA get rid of it in the near future.

I'll agree that 'thoroughly deserved' is over-egging it a bit. As a neutral I found it boring enough, to be honest.

Coming from a country where it is standard for all sports' to have salary caps in place to try and even out the times the whole EPL gets terribly dull sometimes. They desperately need something like that so it's not just Man U., Arsenal, Liverpool, and some other team fighting out for top 4. I realise that this would mean good players would just play in another league, but it just seems to me to be another way that soccer is just fucking boring outside of the World Cup.
EDIT: I do realise that this was Champion's league, by the way, it's just something that has irked me for a little while, and these are EPL teams, after all...

My preferred result i.e. the ground opening up and swallowing the lot of them, unfortunately didn't happen.
Hopefully Ferguson will now retire and we will no longer be subjected to that disgusting chewing habit of his.

We caught the last 5 minutes of extra-time and the penalties after watching The Apprentice.
Had no strong feelings about who won either - so the main topics of conversation were Ryan Giggs' bald spot, as with nickie's post above - Ferguson's fascination with chewing gum, the frequency at which players gobbed on the pitch and trying to work out how many of the players were actually from the UK.

How could Sir Alan do that? Lawrence was so, so amusing.

Manchester United 6, Chelsea 4, so I believe.
Can only hope that rumours of that big girl's blouse Ronaldo going to Real Madrid become reality.
So, sport of another kind - The Apprentice - good is it?

I'm staying, I'm definitely staying.
I like to imagine Schuster raising his fists to the heavens and screaming "RONALDOOOO I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!"
