"A team of doctors in western India are carrying out a study on a hermit who claims to have survived without food and water for 70 years.
The holy man claims that he derives energy through meditation.
Sanjoy Majumder reports from Delhi. "
Yep, it's probably true. They even ran tests on him

I don't understand the point of your post. Are you simply pointing out that the BBC is reporting a bullshit story, or what?

Did you watch the video? It seems legit. And if it is, it's definitely worth posting

Remind me again: Just what is the scientifically valid test that you'd run to see if someone has survived without eating during the last 70 years? And what's the test to see if he went without drinking anything during that time? Hook him up to an e-meter? Measure his phlogiston levels? Check his blood for bad humours?

No food. No water.
Beer. Lots of beer.
And one hell of a good laugh at the scientists. You're over 70, so if they lock you up without food and water for a week and you die....well, you were over 70. You could go at any moment.

If they are a pile of dusty inanimate bones THEN you know they survived without eating. It's quite an accurate test. All the Indian graduates of the school of doctory stuff know about it.

What a pity we don't have massi to provide us with some thought provoking, insightful commentary on the state of modern India.
