Making Mithril bars w/o Koltk... - by Shodin

Is someone screwed if they use the 4 mithril chunks to make 2 mithril bars w/o using the Koltk powder? I did that and forgot to put in the powder. I then tried to put in a already-made bar w/the Koltk powder but it didn't work. Luckily I had a quicksave slot that was before that point.
Cheers,
Shodin

IIRC you can use the Koltk-powder on the mithril bar or the forged mithril blade. I could be wrong, though.

FWIW, it didn't work out for me; I had to backtrack a few hrs of playtime (bad me, I know).

You have to use the Koltk powder before the mithril bar is created.

Wow, thank god I had a quicksave slot before I did that. I'd have probably smashed the CD and sent it back to JoWood if I hadn't - lol.

I'm pretty sure you can use the koltk-powder after you've forged a mithril blade. Julien Roby said something about it in the Jowood forums. I haven't tried it myself so I could be wrong, though.

Simply use the Koltk powder on the mithril bar (or the finished mithril blade).

I made 2-H mithril sword, i have Koltk powder, if i put it on my sword, what bonuses i got on me or my weapon? Do i have to use "enchant object"? like after amikar rock is "installed" on weapon?

Rubbing Koltk added +5 to the damage on a saber. Not sure what it'll do for a 2-hander tho. However I believe it's something you have to do to be able to kill Akbaa regardless.
