Flying Guillotines make everything better. Guy eating his own finger sushi is just icing on the cake.

A
drill bra?
Oh my!
It looks like this movie's really real! Guess we dun need to wait for that Kill Bill sequel any more, huh?
And Kill Bill references FTW! Especially with the chop-chop arm scene a la Sophie Fatale's in Kill Bill - they got the blood spurting at the camera lens, too.

I know this forum's all down on Kill Bill, but seriously how is this any more violent?
If anything it makes Kill Bill look like Kill Bill.

Nice segue, Dinky.
And Aja, you obviously saw the wrong trailer, this has the combined awesome of Planet Terror in a Kill Bill wrapper. I fail to see anything approaching the level of drill bra or flying guillotine level of gore, KB was more about artistic cutaways at many of the gratuitous points - like Lucy Lui. Plus, it's an authentic insane asian revenge flick as opposed to a homage.

The difference is that Kill Bill made you sick without even having to be explicit.
Comic book violence doesn't interest me, I want something visceral. And from the trailer, Revenge looks more goofy than intense. Even Planet Terror had its moments (I'm thinking of the scenes in the hospital) where it was actually stomach-twisting and not just bloody.
It's your fault for making the comparison!!

I was about to say ... limb chopping, blood fountains, killer schoolgirls, etc, were around before Kill Bill. It just brought it to the West. This movie is part of a distinguished tradition that KB shares. Watching that trailer one might think this movie is going to be a worthy addition to the canon. Brutal death by hug ... cute.
