Major posting hickups.

I just timed one of my post - time between pressing post button and the post getting trough: 3 minutes 38 seconds.

Has been that way for weeks ...

... what is going on?

I can say that I have not experienced this, so it's not a site-wide problem. I assume navigation to other websites doesn't take abnormally long?

EDIT: Although relatively lengthy posts do seem to be taking a little longer than they used to.

I've been experiencing the same thing on and off for quite a while now, some time after we switched servers again, but I have noted that it's not an issue with the post getting through, it's just reloading the thread after it's been made. Try this - make a post, then, right after you click "Post" and while it's seemingly taking ages for it to "get through", open a new tab with the same thread. If you're getting the same thing I am you should find your post already there sitting nice and tidy, even though the page/tab that you used to make it is still loading.

And yes - it happens only here with posting and not always.

Yeah, happens every now and then. Not often enough to be a biggy, really. Like Ostriig said, just load up the site in another tab and see if your post made it through.

Yeah, this has been happening to me too. For months now, actually. About every 3rd post I make to the board will hang for a bit, then time out. From there, I have to hit back, hit the post button again, and hope for the best. Usually on that second try everything will go right through without any problems.

It's not a huge issue or anything, but it'd be nice to see it fixed.
