I am on the third trial and I just wanted to know if I am supposed to go into the Cavern of the Incarnate, and if so where is it?

Talk to the ashlanders. They have lore that tells of where it is.
If that isn't working,
The upper-right part of the molag mar region (on the norther coast of the island) is where the entrance to the valley is.
First of all, you must speak with azura at azura's shire, the easiest way to get their is to go southwest from Tel Fyr. Azura will send you on a mission...
Complete that mission and he will give you "AZURA'S STAR". You must use azura's star to get into the cavern.
Now, The cavern of the incarnet is along the coast of the grazelands. From the Grazelands, follow the coast into the Sheogorad Reigon, and you will see a small entry, go into that entry, the turn right and follow the path, You will see the door to the cavern.
This is the most complicated part.
You cannot go into this cavern without azura's star. When you have it, you need to be at the cavern at sunrise (6:00am) or sunset (8:00pm), The door's will not open at any time...
And that is all, good luck...

Are you sure you need Azura's Star for this quest? I thought that they were refering to the astrological star not the soul gem star. That's why you need to wait for the "twilight hours." I'm not positive, but I believe I went there before doing Azura's quest - is this possible?
(None of the ashlanders mention needing to go to Azura's shrine)
Anyways, either way once you find the cavern, just kill the nearby cliffracers and sleep for a while. When you wake, the door should open and you can get inside. The only clues the Ashlanders give you are landmarks to find the cavern and that you must wait until dawn/dusk in order for the door to open.
Good luck!

*nods to kfort* Yup, you've got it; it's a common misunderstanding, but the item is not what's being referred to as neccessary for entry.
