Small problem. Owned the game for a week, so forgive me if the solution is simple.
Killed Dagoth whatever (second or third Main Quest quest), but then noticed that he had not said anything to me, like the guide says he should, and didn't give me corprus either. Can't complete the quest now.

Just a few questions: Have you visited the Urshilaku Ashlanders and performed a few quests for them? The killing Dagoth Gares quest is given to you by Caius, and is much further than the second or third Main Quest quest. If you are talking about a Dagoth in Kogoruhn, you have a few more quests to do before you get to this point.
