Alright. So nobody's played the Slave Hunters plugin. But now i've got questions about the actual game.
About the Mages Guild quest. I can't seem to do any more duties, but I DO have the option. The only person left to do quests for is Skink-In-Tree's-Shade in Sadrith Mora. But he says he'll have to get back to me because he's working on a Detect Creature Potion for Edwinna. But i've already DONE all of her quests (which doesn't include getting the potion from Skink).
In a different game, i had to get the potion for her from Skink, but in THIS game, I didn't have to. I started off (with her) stopping a disturbance in Huleen's Hut. Not realizing I had done that, I clicked on "duties" again, and as it turns out, i had apparently given and brought back the book, "Chimarvamidium."
I know for a fact I skipped over a few other quests for her (including a different book and the detect creatures potion!)
So, I ask you, is it POSSIBLE for me to advance further in the Mages Guild than I already have? And if i CAN, the how?
Thanks a lot,
-A

First of all, welcome to the forums! Sorry you didn't get any replies to the other thread, looks like no-one here uses that plugin. Have you tried contacting the person who made it?
Right, the Mages Guild quest...I think pretty much the same thing happened to me. I hope you're playing on a PC....if you are, open up the console using the ~ key, and type in:
Journal MG_Potion 100
That should sort it out, then try speaking to Skink again. If you're X-Boxing, I don't know that there's anything you can do about this :erg: Funny how so many people seem to have skipped the early Edwinna quests. Perhaps it's a flaw in the game that allows this to happen.

Awesome! As a matter of fact, I DO have the PC version, and your "code" worked like a charm! :D
:laff: Thanks a lot!
I do have another quick question (completely unrelated to the Mages Guild), though.
There's a "sort of" quest (it doesn't go in your journal, or anything), but in Ald Velothi (just southwest of Khuul) you have to bring a Khajiit slave back to the Dren girls (the daughter of the Duke Dren) ship.
Now, you learn that he's hiding in the near-by Daedric ruins, and you can find him easily enough. You're supposed to get rid of the Slave Hunters (3) who are looking for the Khajiit, or just get back without being caught. But when you talk to the Khajiit, he says something like, "No. Get away. Don't tell anyone I'm here!" then the red "Goodbye." (which means you can't do anything else with him)
But when i go kill the Slave Hunters (as well as every other possible tactic), he does the same thing. The ONLY way i've figured out how to get him to follow me is to kill one of them but get caught and then have a bounty on my head, kill the other two, then fetch the Khajiit. However, you'll have to kill a guard and some woman who comes after you (which i CAN do, i just don't want to)
As well, the Khajiit doesn't like you at all, because you a "notorious outlaw"
So, after that long-winded explaination, my question is, How can you get the Khajiit to follow you to Dren's boat without killing anyone (rather, getting caught killing anyone)
I hope you can help,
-A
(Oh yeah, and just killing them WITHOUT getting caught doesn't work, neither does telling all 3 where the Khajiit is, nor does lying and saying you don't know. Oh. and when you DO try it with getting caught, and just try to get by and avoid the guard, the guard catches up and the Khajiit runs away, then it's hopeless)

Does “Twin Lamps” mean anything to you? I expect that you've seen Ilmeni Dren (the daughter of the duke who lives in St Olms, Vivec) to learn about, and initiate, the quest. I’m almost certain that the slave and slave hunters won’t appear unless you have spoken with her. The quest in question is a House Hlaalu quest (although it is possible to get it without being in that great house), and it should have been added to your journal. Since it does not appear, the slave doesn’t have the necessary journal entry trigger to initiate the next level of dialog. You may be able to solve that in much the same way as your previous problem; using the console to manually add the missing journal entry(ies). “Journal, HH_TwinLamps1, 5” will add the entry that ‘introduces’ you to the Twin Lamps. “Journal, HH_TwinLamps1, 10” reports that Ilmeni gave you instructions to see Galyn Arvel. If you have the latter, and speak with Galyn Arvel in Ald Velothi, you should get the next entry “Journal, HH_TwinLamps1, 30”. That is likely the necessary entry to get J’Saddha (the khajiit slave) to follow you.

Glad I could help with the Mages Guild thing, Diamond_dust! :)
To add to what cyrano wrote, you could try just speaking to Ilmeni Dren herself first. Try talking to her on all her different topics....this might trigger the slave quest. If not, just use the console again as he suggested. I remember coming across the NPCs involved in this quest myself without having officially been given it, this happens a lot in MW and can be quite confusing.
A minor correction as well-Ilmeni lives in the St Delyn canton of Vivec, rather than St Olms.
