New characters can make a lot of money early on by using alchemy, or if you have the master index plugin, you can do those quests, and he pays 500 for each of the indices.
Btw: Thieves guild and Telvanni quests are the most rewarding... most of the time.

He's a good reward - seek out those rings of uber poison cloud thingy that have a PBAE 600 dmg dot over 10 seconds. there are 3 of them in some cave. Congratulations, you've got the power to defeat Vivec.
