Hey Folks,
thanks for let me join this forum :) I've played a lot of thief 2 the last days and can't say how much I love the deep atmosphere of the music. Sadly it isn't dynamic like the music in deus ex, when it comes to an encounter. On the other hand, an encounter always leads to load the savestate immediately ;)
Anyway, I was so hyped by the music, that I've tried to compose some similar music/ambient sound:

Nice. Very Thiefy. For the next one you could try for more of the melodic side (it sort of came in right at the end).

yeah, thanks for your comment. This could realy be some nice beginning of a longer and more melodic section, maybe I should make an extended version, this track to really turnes out a little bit to short.

I really like it! , I find thief ambient sounds kind of relaxing ( the ones not creepy )
