When I started the game I created a stupid character: DEX = 23 and everything else was about 7 or 8. Don't know why I did that (just felt like it), but I do get a lot of "double damage" and "backstabs".
Now I'm a poor fighter and a poor mage and too lazy to play thiefy. But I guess I'll have to live with it as I'm already quite far in the game (I think?) :)
I need to go to the temple for the second time but the Ylsides I can't beat yet without too much loss of potions (perhaps I should try the fireball...). I'll just roam around fighting ratmen and other things till I get tough enough. Would it hurt if killed all the trolls and goblins at this stage?

I guess if you really wanted to you could kill them but I doubt it would add much XP, especially the goblins. Completing quests seems to be the easiest way to gain XP.
