I'll have both. I get bored with the same old jack-o-lanterns every year.

Very cool fett! More good ideas, any artistic person could do some of those. Inspiring.

Actually, I personally find those far more aesthetically pleasing than the pumpkins in the original post. At least if you stick a candle in those they'll look like something (something awesome )
Edit: and serious, not trying to thread-shit here. BrokenArt's linked pumpkins are impressive works of sculpted art, but they don't really do it for me as far as jack-o-lanterns go.

The ones Fett linked to are more along the lines of how I carve pumpkins, with the main exception that if I pick out the pumpkin to carve, I go for the misshapen ones.:cheeky:

There is nothing wrong with extreme pumpkins. I can't do them myself. I'll let someone else handle that. Subject to personal taste, and criticism. Can't like them all, for me, I do like them all. The effort put forth the time, and ability that goes into making them.
Year after year, its been the same old thing in pumpkin carving, yes tradition, I am all for that. Why not something new? The past few years, we've seen an explosion of creativity in pumpkin carving. I love it myself.
I am going to try my hand at something similar to fetts link, gives one ideas.
Ohh, that food challenge show that this guy was on, he won.

THe man whose website is linked was on the Extreme Pumpkin challenge last night on the Food channel.
Three challenges, four contestants. One typical (but otre), halloween pumpkin. One 3D carved pumpkin, and one freestyle anything goes.
Viallafane won. Great examples of pumpkin carving as creative art works. If you missed it you missed a fun show.
Like BA said it was a good show.
