release candidate is out and I had no troubles running the 0.9beta. I suggest trying it out and posting bugs on the moddb comments

Dont like it much, but for reasons which boil down to personal taste.
1) Difficulty : its default bullet eater mode for the player and enemies. Also the sneak changes seem to make the enemies somewhat stupid. I shot up the cordon outpost (no amk apcs :b ), thought i got everyone and while running around i happened upon a dude standing attention at the front desk like he didnt care about the racket all around. I had like two guys suddenly stop searching and running to their starting points.
2) Textures : all got significantly darker tones, dark brown, dark green. I found it hard to make stuff out even in "bright" daylight. Everything feels like in a gloomy cave somehow
3) Sound and music changes, mixed bag
What i liked where the new weapons, not at all as crappy as i expected (taken from arsenal tho?) also glove textures yay. Distant land textures too. Plus every mutant always drops his stuff. :o
Technically solid and bug free but the changes it makes to the games look arent my cup of tea i guess v:erg:v

yeah, the whole arsenal mod has been incorporated
I played cordon and garbage and while I enjoy the visuals and stealthing it aint "round" enough compared to vanilla, agree about the dim lightning, bullet-eating only applies if you shoot the chest (never more than 2 headshots to down armored guys)...so far so good I think, the devs stated that they want to expand the mod later with choosable options like blowout yes/no and other stuff, but for now only bugfixing

I like it. It reminds me of Vanilla Stalker but improved.
The difficulty: The weapons aren't as accurate meaning headshots are harder to get at the start. I personally like this. OL was far to easy imo. One shot one kill too easy.
The weapons: All look great! Encountered 2 odd bugs in their descriptions but who cares.
Sneaking: Awesome. But garbage was so dark one night even with my nightvision on I couldn't see anything.
Economy: Awesome.
Weight: I decided to stick with the 35kg limit. I like deciding what I'm going to do before I leave my save spot instead of picking up my top 3 best weapons and a butt load of ammo to blow up anything i encounter.
A-life: Terrific. I notice way more mutant and human encounters than before. The coolest thing I saw was I was in Cordon and a bandit started to attack me. I shot him about 3 times and then out of no where a dog jumps onto his head and knocks him into the bushes killing him. It also looks really cool seeing the tracers from the guard towers at the bandit HQ go after mutants roaming around the area.
The atmosphere: New music is a nice change but it doesn't have the same impact that the previous soundtrack had. The textures, whether, lighting and filters are all superb though. It looks a lot like CS which is a big plus imo.
