I find that a lot of people have been moaning about this and that in arx.
Can I just say it has more atmosphere and intrest and ambition than all the other FPS games I have played, medal of honour included. Yes I know its a RPG and those are shooters but those shooters are pretty mindless in comparision.
As for interface I didnt find it a major problem, but then I am used to RPG interfaces and adapting to them.
Texture seams - yes it detracts from the atmoshpere a bit, but I get graphical artefacts when I play MOHAA and wolfy sometimes due to poor drivers. It doesnt matter that much. I certainly didnt mind underworlds graphics at the time and i think they still do the job now ;-)
Gothic had a great engine but the implementation was not brilliant. However I think arx has a great engine and a good, highly playable game as well.
Besides, they can always release patches (chuckle)

hmm so will there be a "moany" ghost called edwardhugget in the game
....much like beatrice in uw2 ;)
