Don't kid yourself, birthday threads in the FM forum don't count.

FM forum birthday wishes are like Chess Club birthday wishes.

Take em or leave em. A birthday thread is better than none at all. At least people give a damn somewhere.

I'll take one from the Deus Ex forum at this point...

The Thief FM forum is where I spend 99.99999% of my time. I would say that's true of a lot of people, well the thief people.
So That Birthday Thread counts in MY book don't worry about what they say :)
I have some of the other games like deus ex, stalker, oblivion etc but I don't go into those forums much if ever... Thief still rules :) I will have forgotten stalker and oblivion but still be playing thief in a few years mark my words!
PS: email notifications working for you all ? Mine has not been working lately its weird... I received an older thread notification but none of the newer ones.

I'd like to know who checks the 'birthday calendar' in the first place. I neither have the time nor the motivation to do so. \
It's on the fucking front page, numbnuts.

For what it's worth: thanks for mentioning my birthday. :thumb:
I may not post that much here but I'm a very big fan of Thief and this Forum.

Same here, you actually have more post's then I do but this is my second nick, first one I forgot the password and my email address had changed from Erol's, cable wasn't available yet.
It was like 265 bucks a year for dialup back then.
Happy Birthday to all my fellow Virgo's!
And email notification is NOT working ???
switching from instant to daily...
ehh for some reason the FROM is showing as TTLG Forums instead of just admin@ttlg.com but only on NEW threads ? So my filter wasn't working and it was going straight into spam oops. Well problem solved anyway.

I don't think anybody should feel defensive about being a big fan of this place, and thinking it's important, without having posted a lot (not that you guys were; I'm just saying, generally speaking...). I went for quite a long time with only about 100 posts or so, although I felt that TTLG was just as important then, while I wasn't posting much, as now.
And it is admittedly nice when that feeling gets reciprocated on occasion. TTLG used to send birthday greetings by email, and my first one I had only like maybe 75 posts, but I still felt genuinely touched even knowing it was boiler-plate. Sounds weird, maybe, but you guys can maybe sympathize.
It took me about 3000 posts before I got my first actual, respectable birthday thread, "respectable" being maybe 6 or 7 people posting in it. :joke:
