Remember; the writers said that two major characters will die by this season's end.
Seems way too obvious having Charlie be one of the deaths. I'm guessing its a misdirect and the actual death(s) will be someone we haven't focused on.
If I had to guess, I'd say...Ben and...Sun? Maybe Danielle.

Locke can't die. He's the only character trying to find out the secrets of the island, the rest of them just wanna get off the island.

Just went back to the site Brother R. linked this time scrolled down to see the 11 frames of Jacob. Check out his clothes & hair. Yep; he arrived on the pirate ship and eventually the Island evolved him.
And what the hell is up with that crazy dog picture?
I just went and had another look at those pictures, and I think you're right, Dia.
And like Renzatic pointed out, the natives are immortal or something- Richard didn't seem to age at all.
As far as Ben seeing his mother- I immediately thought it was the smoke monster manifesting her like Brother Renault was saying it did for Jack's dad and Eko's brother.

Wonder if the manifestations of dead people on the Island have something to do with Ben's 'magic box'? Or was ole Ben being sarcastic and telling Locke another lie since Locke's dad's recount of the events leading up to his awakening on the island kind of sounded as though he'd just been kidnapped?
Did you also notice how interested Richard seemed when Ben (as a kid) told him he'd seen & talked to his mom? I wonder if seeing a dead loved one means that the viewer has some special sort of connection with the island, one respected by the original Others?
I totally missed the blackboard scene where the teacher suddenly looks about 8 yrs. old. Anybody else catch that one?
And what ever happened to Bernard and Rose?
PLUS: We haven't heard anything about whether or not Michael and Walt are faring well on their journey home, have we? How much do you wanna bet Ben doublecrossed them and they've been recaptured and stashed away in yet another secret place?!

Ben had said that the magic box was just a metaphor.
Oh, and Jacob says "help me" during the batshit insanity scene.

Uhh, no. She's just further away and the photo is squished a bit.

Hey guys, I think the point of those pictures is not the incredible amazing shrinking teacher, but the images on the blackboard. :laff:

I'll need Fett or someone else well versed in the bible to verify this, but I don't think Adam and Eve were meant to be fruitful and multiply til after they ate of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil.
I don't think there's much of anything said about that one way or the other.
