good episode, although i think i've noticed a continuity error:
in this episode, sun attempts to blackmail her dad into giving her the $100,000, by telling him she knows about what goes on at his business (killing people or whatever). the father then says that Jin will now be "working for me"
but, if you will remember one of the earlier episodes, i think in the first season... the flashbacks were also about Sun & Jin... The timeline in these flashbacks must have taken place AFTER the one in this week's episode, because Jin had just beaten up somebody and he came home with blood on his hands. The problem is.. Sun acted surprised, because, in that episode, she didn't know about what his job was ...
WTF @ the writers ???
:weird:

Just having knowledge of something is much different than seeing it in person. Sun may know that Jin is out roughing up some of her Dad's customers, but when he comes home with blood all over his clothes, that's a bit different. Anyone would be shocked if they hadn't seen that before.

Flashbacks between episodes do not always follow in the order you watch them in.
I thought the latest episode's flashbacks took place prior to Jin being a henchman.

i understand that. and that is WHY there's a continuity error. please read my post again more thoroughly, specifically the sentence "The timeline in these flashbacks must have taken place AFTER the one in this week's episode"

it's been so long so i don't specifically remember.. but i thought in that episode, she was shocked because she was just then finding out what he did at his job. before that, she thought he had a desk job or something.

i would also like to say that i am sad that i was wrong about the black baby thing ... it would have been an interesting plot twist :cheeky:

I don't think we actually know just what Sun thought her dad did. She obviously didn't approve, but she could have thought he was just into tax evasion or something. That's a lot different than being a full-blown mobster.
I did get the feeling that there was a continuity problem while I watched the episode, but I don't think its a concrete 'caught them with their pants down' thing.

you could be right

The writers have got us all hating Ben so much that I think part of the Darth Vader moment will be us realizing what Ben's real adjenda is, and maybe even turning the tables and getting us to root for him.
Probably, except I can't be the only one rooting for Ben from day one. He's one of the most interesting characters on the show, and his brand of righteousness is much more tolerable than most of the others. The fact that he gives Juliet a target to focus her hate, even if only to engender goodwill from the viewers for such an unlikeable character, makes me like him even more. Ben's awesome, and I hope he doesn't come to as uninteresting a fate as that.
