ahoy! you have figured it out. Michael obviously told the others about Sun's pregnancy after he knocked her up
SkankinMonkey on 13/4/2007 at 18:33
It was either Jack OR she was pregnant when she landed and they knew they would eventually have to start injecting her.

If Sun got pregnant on the island, that might make her even more important to Juliet inparticular because she is convinced that whatever goes wrong does so at conception.
That would be really interesting, because however the island fixed Jin's sterility might be the key Juliet is looking for. Then the Losties would have a real lever to use on good old Ben and Co.

And she could be there for Sun's pregnancy I think. Especially if she was pregnant before she came to the island (meaning the baby is not Jin's). If the baby is Jin's, then I don't recall the exact sequence of events, but could Michael have told them about Sun's pregnancy? If not, then maybe Jack?
I really don't think the Others know about Sun's pregnancy. Even if she'd been pregnant when she crashed on the island, how the hell would they know that since she didn't know herself? It certainly wouldn't be one of the statistics in any of her records since she obviously hadn't gone anywhere to have any tests done prior to catching her ill-fated flight. So no; I don't think the Others know yet. I seriously doubt that the baby is Mikey's, but there
is a possibility the father could have been Sun's illicit lover back in her home country. In any event, unless I really, really missed something, the last time I recall Sun's pregnancy being mentioned was because Sun told Kate, who is
not known for being a chatty Cathy. Can't recall if Michael was already gone on his berserker/find Walt streak yet or not, but he did respect Sun and I doubt he would have blabbed about Sun's pregnancy (even if he knew) to everybody else especially if he knew she wanted to keep it quiet.
So therefore I think Jules has been planted among the Survivors for other devious reasons. Ben-reasons.

She still gets some secret creepy Ben looks on her face, though. Who knows- maybe she's brainwashed and/or has an 'implant' of some sort too, and the effects wear off after so long, and Ben has to 'reset' them or something.
Yeah, I noticed those looks, too. Kinda makes you wonder what's going on inside her head. I also like the idea about the 'implant'. If a neurosurgeon isn't required to implant the devices, then I'd be willing to bet Ben's made sure all the Others have them - except himself, of course. I don't consider Ben just crafty, devious, and manipulative; I think the man's insane. As in certifiable sociopath. Him and those bug-eyes of his - - - gives me the creeps I tell you.

Well, creepy as he is, all the 'Ben-reasons' seem to revolve around this pregnancy question, and Juliet IS their resident expert in all that. If she doesn't know about Sun, then she's probably there for turnip-head (Aaron), and will soon find out about Sun, and that will probably complicate things.
Oh- and she was obviously lying about Ethan taking things into his own hands and all. Remember, their plan was to take Aaron by C-section and they didn't care if Claire lived or not.

Turnip-head was Charlie's nickname for Aaron before Claire actually named him Aaron. You seem to have forgotten a hell of a lot about this show, Dia.
Dia on 14/4/2007 at 08:56
I didn't forget the turnip head thing; just have to laugh every time I hear it.
But yeah; my short-term memory's full of holes lately.
Stress.

jungle fever .... hey !

Another good one. I was kind of holding my breath to see if Desmond would really let Charlie die; I know that two Survivors (or did that read 'two people on the island'? Have to find that interview again.) will die by the end of this season and there'll be one new arrival. Well, the new arrival's here and she knows Desmond; so now who's gonna bite the dust?
For once I didn't mind the flashbacks; hard time imagining Des as a monk however.
P.S. Kate is one seriously messed up chick and needs to get her priorities straight.
P.P.S. Watched 'Smokin' Aces' last night & Matthew Fox's (Jack) performance, though rather brief, was great! Anyone renting the DVD has to check out the Tremor Bros. in the 'Cast' section of the Bonus Features. Laughed so hard I almost wet my pants!!! Someone tell me that was all an act - please! People like that do not really exist in RL, right? OGod!
