i just had to stop the video for a few minutes and just be like ........ :erm:
it is pretty contrived that his dad is somehow on the island now, though. seems like a cheap plot device to play with the viewer's emotions.
i'm thinking locke will have too much mercy to kill his dad. then his dad will probably escape the compound and become a "random variable" in the show. i.e. you'll forget about him a while but he'll show up in an episode next season. just like russeau has always been, and how desmond was for a point.

Couldn't have happened to two nicer kids. Think they'll end up digging their way out? Gawd, I hope not.
I got a kick out of seeing Boone & Shannon again (especially Boone's bedroom eyes); I always thought their characters were more interesting than a few of the others. And for once the writers not only solved a mystery in the same episode in which they presented it, but gave us a little retrospective insight as to how things happened the way they did. It's about time.
Yes; things are finally starting to get interesting again. Can't wait to see how Kate & Jules end up handcuffed to each other next week. Hope Kate beats the snot out of Juliette. :p

That was pretty impressive tonight, taking two characters everyone absolutely hates and making them interesting. Evil, too. And sympathetic. All in one show, brilliant.
Still, what was up with the smoke monster showing up right before Nikki gets bit?

Ditto. I watched that scene 3 times and didn't see the monster anywhere. :confused:
