Jules said they were 'going home'; the ship is transportation maybe?
Could just be me, but I'm pretty sure that boat had a silhouette that was much too big and similar to a cruise ship to be the motor boat(s) we've seen several times before and, yes, they started off in a rowboat.

Remember Carl saying he had a back yard? Don't tell me they actually live somewhere that's populated by normal people. That would be pushing predictable and formulaic over the top.
I think your forgetting that we've seen their little suburb on the main island during the intro of the season 3 premiere.

Speaking of kids, wonder what ever happened to Walt.
Walt was condemned to sail off with his deadbeat dad, and I hope, never to return.
Also, was I the only person who completely forget such an insignificant character as Cindy since she was only in a handful of episodes in season 2, thanks wikipedia, and quickly disappeared?
It seems in the upcoming episodes, the only one that looks decent is "Enter 77". Unfortunately, it looks like the retards Paulo and Nikki are back though.

Yep, saw that; but that could have been any small town in the US (even though we all
know it's in Hawaii because that's where they're filming).

Wait; did they sail off a second time (without Sawyer, etc.)? I know they set off the first time on Michael's raft, then Walt got kidnapped, Michael went off to look for Walt, came back, killed AnaLucia, and generally went apeshit. But I don't recall him finding Walt and/or leaving the island again. What'd I miss?

Nope; you're not alone. I had to do the same and even then I didn't remember ever seeing her.

Ken and Barbi =
BORING.
They'd do better to hire Fanty and Mingo as replacements. Or even Mr. Universe and his LoveBot.
Imo.

I'm getting pretty sick of Lost now, it just keeps dragging on without actually answering any questions and just brining up new ones.
Dia > After killing them in the hatch he tricks some of them (Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley) to follow him to the others' camp, Hurely is released, but they take Jack, Sawyer and Kate and give Michael his kid back and tell him to leave the island on a certian bearing in a boat they gave him.

No, in the season three premiere episode, we definitely saw The Others community on the main Lost island, in the very first sequence before the title screen. Fairly unforgettable scene with Flight 815 exploding overhead.

Um...I'm guessing you didn't see the season two finale, you know, the one where the hatch exploded and Jack/Kate/Sawyer were taken prisoner? :weird:
Dia, you have some serious catching up to do, you've missed some pretty key moments here. ;)

Second season was so wtf I decided to stop watching after the season finale.
Reading this thread I don't regret my decision one bit, looks like it's gone downhill ever since. (though it was already so low at the end of season 2 it must be deep in the Moria by now...)

What the fuck was that? Seriously, a whole episode about Hurley finding a van in the jungle? I remember the producers saying in an interview that a lot of the interesting material they had planned wouldn't show up till season 3. If this is it, Star Trek XI is doomed.
Tonamel on 1/3/2007 at 09:00
It's weird. Even though absolutely nothing happened in this episode, I really liked it. Maybe it was due to being a welcome break from ALL ANGST ALL THE TIME, or maybe it's because Hurley's just that awesome. Either way, it's probably my favorite episode this season.
fett on 1/3/2007 at 13:38
"Hey Mulder! Go you have any idea what the fuck is going on?"
"No Scully. Absolutely no fucking idea. When do we get paid?"
I'm pretty much done here...:bored:

Yawn. Okay; we know Hurley has had nothing but bad luck since winning the lotto. Yet once again we were subjected to another set of boring flashbacks (except for the part about Cheech Marin being Hurley's dad) that threatened to put me in a coma. But a van? And one that crashed over 30 years ago and that has been all but overrun by the jungle? I understand Hurley had some deep psychological need to get the thing running, but what are the odds I ask you? Oh well; considering some of the other shit that's happened on the island I guess it's really not that farfetched. Just pointless imo.
Still sick and tired of Sawyer & Kate's emotional roller coaster ride.
Still amazed that someone hasn't killed off Ken and Barbie yet.
Still wondering if there's really a point to all of this.
The episodes just keep getting more and more boring. One good thing though; when the reference to Michael & Walt being set free was made it suddenly jogged my memory. Guess I didn't miss that one after all; I was so used to going numb when any part of an episode revolved around Michael that it must not have registered. Wonder if dad & son will make it to safety? And will they tell anyone about the island(s) or will Michael keep his mouth shut considering he killed a couple of people? Now that might be interesting.
Just barely.
