Interesting information from a recent interview with the writers. The main points (slight spoilers):


* Michael and Walt's story isn't done yet. We won't see them this season though.
* We're going to be finding out exactly what the hell is up with The Others, who they are, why they're doing what they're doing, etc.
* There will be a flashback story involving how Jack got his tattoos.
* We'll find out why Locke was in the wheelchair
* Mr. Eko's not out of the game yet. It was stated we'll be seeing more of him, and it was hinted it won't be in a flashback.
* We'll be getting an explanation as to how Eko, Desmond, and Locke escaped The Swan (mostly) unhurt in the form of a flashback episode. Apparently there's a lot more to that story.
* The eye patch guy will be a major character in upcoming episodes.
* We're going to find out what happened to the Talies The Others took fairly soon after the break.
* There are going to be two major story bombshells, one about a character, one about the story in general, and the story one will happen very soon after the break.

While I agree that Juliette is a snake, I don't think Ben's the good guy - not by a longshot! He's displayed a ruthlessness in the past that makes it pretty obvious he'll do just about anything to remain in control. The whole Juliette/Ben thing is obviously a power struggle.

The recently widowed guy is the one who should be put in one of those cages imo. Judging from the looks that Sawyer (or should we call him James now?) has been giving him, paybacks are going to be hell for that guy. That's one episode I look forward to. It's puzzled me why the widower is taking out his grief on just Sawyer; why not Kate & Jack as well? Although Sawyer's smartassedness is enough to provoke a saint.

I doubt that Jack will really let Ben die; it's just not in Jack's character. But you'd better believe that Juliette will do everything she can to make Ben's death a reality. I was also impressed with how convincingly the big, burly guy emoted when Jack threatened Ben's life; I honestly thought he was going to break into tears!

I still say get rid of Ken & Barbie, though. They're about as useful to the plot/story as tits on a nun. And I'm already getting a bit tired of Desmond's 'piercing' looks at whoever has just said something.

And what's with Locke's 'revelation' when he read Mr. Eko's broken staff? Is he interpreting that as where to look for the kidnapped trio? Or is going off on another hunt for another bunker?



I'd also wondered about Walt's age factor. The kid that plays him must be in his early teens by now. How're they going to explain that one? I also hope they leave Michael's angst on the cutting room floor. Got pretty weary of his over-the-top emoting.

All in all, I think it was a pretty good episode. Loved the sex scene. *sigh*

I thought it was pretty uninspiring, myself. They need to take a note from Heroes, and actually start answering some questions before they start asking more. There's more than enough unknowns at this point, the novelty of WHAT COULD THIS MEAN??!!? wears a bit thin when it's the only plot device they're using anymore.

I'd like to know what happened to Juliette's sister & her baby. Just hope that the Dharma guys didn't get rid of them to ensure that Juliette had nothing to stay in Fla. for & would go with them. I got a kick out of the look on Jack's face when he realized that in letting Juliette go, Ben was pretty much saying that Jack was her replacement & wasn't going anywhere else soon. That's if Ben keeps his promise, of course.

I disagree about the Jack/Juliette thing though. Jules has pretty much proven that she lies like a rug & can't be trusted from one minute to the next. Jack's waaaayyy too Dudley Doright for the likes of her. In fact, now that I think about it, Jack seems to be the only one that isn't lying about something.

At least the (minor) mystery of why Danielle's baby was taken from her was solved. That's one hell of a serious custody battle going on between her & Ben.

imho, not one of the better episodes. I agree with Tonamel; I'm getting rather weary of question upon question being introduced with each new episode. I'd like some serious answers at this point.

P.S. I liked the way Kate got answers. Nice touch.

P.P.S. Do we still have to use spoilers? Seems like the only people posting in this thread have already seen the latest episode. Just sayin'.
