From what I've heard from the podcast with the writers, they said they'd go for 5 tops, and that's stretching it. Apparently they hope to end it with season 4. But as we all know, it's ABC that controls that.

What I found most amusing during the big "cliffhanger ending" is that Jack has this extravagant plan worked out for Kate and Sawyer's escape, but he is the only one who doesn't realize he's not on the same island! I keep expecting someone to tap Jack on the shoulder and say, "Uh, hey doc, by the way, there's something you should probably know..."
None of this changes the fact that i still want to kick the living crap out of Juliette. Has anyone ever had a more annoying and/or condescending voice than her? Hopefully the smoke monster will find her soon.

I'm starting to like Juliette less and less as each episode comes, and I'm starting to suspect Ben might be the good guy, and she's the one with the bad agenda.

I get the feeling from this episode that maybe Alex is Ben's adopted daughter. Like after they took Alex away, Ben raised her.

Rousseau (sp?) was preggers before they crashed, and "had" to kill her husband, so if this is what they're getting at, then Ben probably adopted Alex.
The impression I got when I watched was that Alex was asking about the kid in the cage who let Sawyer go, and Ben was keeping tabs on what was going on with the two young troublemakers- but the Ben is Alex's father idea makes more sense.
If Ben IS Alex's father one way or another, then it seems that she knows of the (probably Juliette's) plan to off dear old Ben, and Juliette et. al. have engineered Alex "running off" or something to keep her from telling to daddy.
Rousseau didn't seem to know exactly who Ben was when she captured and shot him- I wonder if Ben knows exactly who she is?
