Hopefully in a flashback and not as a ghost.
I don't know which would be worse. A flashback in a flashback or the ghosts haunting others-land.

Am I the only one who wanted to bork Libby? Just a little?

I wanted to fill her out like an application.

Ooookay; it was pretty predictable that Ben was the one with the tumor, but what I can't understand is how the Island could cure all those others and not him? He must be Truly Ebil - that's the only explanation, right? I did so enjoy seeing the look on Ben's face when Jack turned the tables on him; I knew he wouldn't be able to break Jack, but even that scene was predictable. Juliet's little ruse with the video was interesting, but I trust her even less than I trust Ben. You just know Jack will feel compelled to try to save him, SuperSpinalSurgeon that he is.
MR.EKO - WTF!! Why did the writers feel compelled to kill off Mr. Eko??!!! He was one of the more interesting characters and they just offed him? And Locke wasn't scared of the black cloud thingy when it grabbed him, but now he is? What - are they gonna kill him off next? Totally unacceptable. It's obviously been the black cloud that's been mimicking all the different dead people, so is the cloud telepathic or does the person seeing it just subconciously interpret the cloud as a lost loved one? It seems sentient, though a tad deranged.
And as far as I'm concerned, they can't get rid of the two newbies (ya know - the Barbie/Ken pair) fast enough to suit me! A sop to the teenaged viewers I suppose, but I already find the new duo boring. Regardless of the appraising look Sayid gave the Barbie-doll person.
Who was that Eye-Patch guy in the monitor? He looked rather familiar.
And where are Michael and Walt?
They'd better not kill off Sawyer or I'll quit watching. Period.

Keeping things interesting, at least

I was losing a little faith in the show, but last night's episode restored it a bit. I was quite shocked and disappointed that they decided to kill off
Eko, but I saw something on the official boards about the actor asking to be written off. Not much you can do about that.

Why do you assume they are coming back?

I wasn't aware of that. Shame, really.

Because the Others obviously wanted Walt for a specific reason and iirc, it hasn't been explained exactly why they wanted him. Unless the writers are going to leave that particular thread dangling through the end of the series which would be just another disappointment imo.

They need to kill Locke and/or Jack soon. I'm tired of them.

I think the Juliet thing is a test to see if he'll do the right thing(saving a life) or the emotional thing(payback for Ben).

The new people are boring so far and I can hardly wait for the 9 seasons explaining their backstories.

There don't seem to be any interesting people left, only interesting events.

That's gay.

A piece from an interview regarding the death of Mr. Eko:
Cuse: When Adewale came on the show, he didn't want to make a long-term commitment to a series. We love him and so we agreed that he would come on the show and then we would find a time in which his arc would come to an end. And we sort of felt after a lot of conversations with him — most of which took place at the end of the spring last year — that we would finish his character somewhere in [these first] six episodes. And as we started talking about what was going to really help the drama of these six episodes, we thought, “Well, this is the perfect place to do it.” As we said, we all kind of went into this [with the idea] that it was only going to be for a limited period of time.
Ausiello: It's no secret that Adewale wasn't the most beloved cast member. Did that play any role in his departure? [FYI: In next week's issue of TV Guide magazine — on sale Nov. 9 — my colleague, Shawna Malcom, reports that, per multiple sources, the 39-year-old actor had become an increasingly difficult presence on set, refusing to film scenes as scripted, insisting on rewrites and even "demanding" several times to be released from his contract.]
Lindelof: We don't really talk about anything other than the creative decisions made on the show. If you're hearing it from other people, you're not hearing that from us. Not to mention, we're in L.A. So we would never let that kind of thing determine the creative direction of the show. We're all in the service of the story.
And in case anyone didn't know, Cuse and Lindelof are the executive producers and primary writers for the show.
