The premiere just finished airing here a half hour ago. I hadn't seen a thread pop up yet, so I decided to create a new one. Personally, I think our other one was a little too long already.
Now in regards to the episode I thought it was a decent start to the season. I was glad to see Ethan and Goodwin appearing again, nothing really new was revealed.
I decided, since this is a new thread I'll be nice and start off with spoiler tags but I doubt that will last long.
Anyone else pick up on the mention of the shark when they were talking about the aquarium; also Skinner box FTW :D

When the bearded guy told Kate, "You're not my type," I got the impression that there was an implied meaning, perhaps inferring that the Others are involved in some sort of genetic inbreeding experiment.
Worst episode of the season. :grr:

Allow me to retort:
Best episode of the season.

BE THAT AS IT MAY
I thought the episode was exceptionally weak for a much-anticipated season premiere. Did we really need another "Jack is moody and obsessive and didn't like his dad very much" episode?
I realise that one of the first things they want to get out of the way is the introduction of some new characters... well, one new character... but really.
The intro was an awesome HOLY SHIT moment, and the fish biscuit was lols, but other than that I don't know.
Although it will be sweet to see a SWAT team formed by Sayid, Eko, Jin, and Hurley / Charlie for comic relief go try to bust Sawyer and Kate out of Jurassic Park. Jack, I fear, is in the Hydra station for the long haul unless the amazingly teleportationist Juliette ends up sneaksing him out. Which is hopefully far too predictable and cliche for them to go there, but hey it's season three and things tend to bog down at this point.
I have to say I'm not thrilled at the idea of a season primarily focused on character development (read: inane flashbacks) after a rollercoaster of a season two. You know, rollercoasters: where they put all the good stuff at the beginning and end and bore you silly in the middle with loops and tiny bumps.
We haven't seen anything truly WTF since Locke got yanked by the Smokey (unless you count the very cool Hurley vs Dave episode) -- okay, the whole Michael Shooting People was a bit wtf, but it wasn't POLAR BEAR SMOKE MONSTER WTF WTF WHAT THE FUCK.
Actually, the Lockdown episode was pretty wtf as well, but again in an Internet Nerd way (rush for the TiVo ENHANCE THE BLAST DOOR MAP)
I guess I'm trying to say I want more crazy omgomgomg and a little less hmmm that's odd. And I'm worried that the whole ARG thing over the summer has tarded the waters a LOT.

I'm guessing the bears that figured out the machine quicker than Sawyer were the polar bears.
I agree the Jack portion of the story was gay.
I honestly don't care about Jack one way or the other.
I want to know what Kate did that got her scratched/bruised.
I'm thinking she attacked Ben/NotHenry.

What ARG thing?
