I think he's just pointing out that if the movie does turn out shitty there's absolutely nothing you can do about it, and that crying "THIS BETTER BE GOOD...." at precisely no-one comes across as a bit of an arm-flail.

Oh Christ what a pissant thing to give me shit about. Seriously, are you guys that bored? Sure, okay, poor choice of words... but why would it matter? I'm just expressing my hope that this movie is better than some of the other overrated filth that Kubrick has written. If you're going to pick a fight with me, do it because of that, not because of how I expressed it.

Hahahahahaha like I give a fuck, all I'm saying is, if you're going to throw a bitchfit over something I said, try having a non-retarded reason to do so.

Do you understand that it was not what he has written made those works you may refer as "overrated" quite popular, but Kubrick's unsurpassed perfectionism during production / efficiency in creating of compelling atmosphere. I personally don't care about scenarios of Kubrick's films much, above all they are interesting because of a special "feeling" of them, he was able to shoot interestingly with any scenario.

This went well.
So just out of morbid curiosity, I'd love to know what dethtoll is referring to when he said, "...some of the other overrated filth that Kubrick has written," especially when most every film has been an adaptation from some of the finest books written.
BTW, did the name Jim Thompson not ring a bell? Have you not seen Kubrick's The Killing, or read The Killer Inside Me?

Yeah, all that and he couldn't make more than 2.9 movies that were actually any
good.

What's the 0.9?
