I seemed to have lost my magic boots and I'm wondering if this is a bug.
I had just completed retrieving the Shadow Shield and used Almsivi Intervention to escape Kogoruhn. I had the boots in my inventory, but not on, when I teleported and when I arrived in Gnisis (to my displeasure, I thought I would end up in Ald'ruhn) I did not have them. I didn't notice they were missing for several "Morrowind days." When I finally missed them, I slogged all the way back to Kogoruhn and they were not at the place I teleported from. I looked back thru my old save games and found where I last had them, problem is, I've accomplished a lot since the time I apparently lost them and noticed they were missing. I really liked what the boots added to the experience of the game, shortening travel times and all.
If it's a bug I'll use the console to get them back, if it's not a bug and just part of using Almsivi, I'll live w/out them as I don't want to cheat. I've accomplished a lot since I lost them and this kinda sucks.
Also, can you use Almsivi when you are overburdened and arrive with everything? I read somewhere you could. I don't think I was overburdened when I used it this time, I suppose that's a possibity as the last thing I was doing before teleporting was shuffling my inventory around.
Ideas??

BTW, I searched like crazy for answers to this before I posted...

Hrm... you sure you didn't sell them somewhere when you were low on sleep? I've never heard of anything like this, and when items disappear it's usually something silly like that.
As to your 2nd question, sure, aside from your destination there should be no difference between Almsivi, Recall, etc., and I've never lost things when I do a grossly-overburdened Recall.

Yeah, I suppose that's possible (the "low on sleep" thing is a definite). I've gone thru my "savegames" and found where I had them in Kogo and where I didn't have them in Gnisis, and the only thing possible is that I sold them accidentally in Gnisis before the savegame that I have there.
Before I do anything drastic, I'm going to revisit all the merchants that I could've possible seen between Gnisis and where I'm at now. Nothing to lose but time.
Thanks for the help...

Anytime; luck ;)

The item ID for the boots is:
boots of blinding speed[unique]
In case you need to resort to the console.
