Just reached the first cyberspace panel in Level 1 and secured a number of goodies, pulser v.1, decoys, CShield, etc., but can never get to the last section to secure Pulser v.2, and switch that opens closet. I hit the red crosses early on but they seem to not be around after leaving the second section. Will someone please tell me where I've gone wrong and how to succeed in getting to the final section in this cyberspace. Do I get another chance later while still on this level? There are several reasons why you could be losing your integrity in cyberspace. Are you taking too long in there, by any chance? Because if you do, then SHODAN will detect you and kick you out. Then the next time you get in, you'll have less available time. If you can't get everything in one go, then it's better to leave, then return and rush to your objective. Did you kill the Cyberguard inside the room where the switch and the Pulser v.2 are? Otherwise it could be shooting at you and kicking you out. Or are you colliding with the mines along the way between the second and the third cyberspace rooms? You can also lose a lot of integity that way. Remember to switch the Cybershield on after you pick it (double click on its name in your inventory).
The objects in cyberspace are unique, and don't respawn. So if you get the red crosses (which restore your integrity), they won't be there again when you enter cyberspace a second time. That cyberjack is the only one in the Medical level, so no, you don't have another chance later.

Thanks D'Arcy: Fortunately I saved just before entering Cyberspace so if I get kicked out (which has happened several times) whatever I procured appears in my "software" inventory. Never got to the final room to kill anybody; so I must be colliding with, or getting to close to some of the bad guys/items. I got far enough to retrieve the Cybershield and will use it next time and thereafter as necessary.
How do I kill the Cyberguard? Your suggestion about getting out and going back in a rush is something I never thought about. Again D'Arcy, I owe you one. Appreciate your help. pukey

Like Trance says, just shoot the Cyberguard (right mouse button) with the Pulser. If you say you're not even getting to the third and final room, then I suspect you must be colliding with the mines on the way there, so try to avoid them.

Hi D'Arcy: Your advice worked! I finally got to the third section by "rushing" through the first two, got the pulser v.2 and killed the guard by right clicking. I guess I was colliding with mines, bulldogs, etc., and didn't realize my mistake. You put me on the right path and I've moved along. Thanks. pukey

You don't find any enemies in the first and second rooms of the Medical cyberspace. The danger starts on the way to the third room, with mines along the way, and the Cyberguard inside that third room.
