heh... you proles wouldn't understand how sophisticated my tastes are

To be fair, most of my taste in recreation is pretty crude, and somewhat cheaper. The only exception is my passion for skiing, and even then I always opt for night skiing over the night life. I've never much enjoyed going to a club, even higher class ones. I'm just not social enough to enjoy hanging out with more people than a small group of friends.
Thats something about me the OP might want to consider when weighing my response against others.

So, just how much do the cheap hookers go for in your area?

Don't be a hata, Andy.
If you play your cards right, when I open my own lounge some day I'll let you be the bouncer and crack some skulls.

...edit - I had a choice to live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or, get this, Syracuse New York. I picked NY :(
Good old Syracuse. Been there a few times for concerts, state fair and work related issues. Not a bad place.
As for Benny Lava, well... My son along with myself did a write in during last Tuesdays elections. So, Benny, where ever you are, you got two votes in PA.
Spent some time in Texas during my military years. Dallas was a nice town.

Stick to Dallas, you'll be too poor and unsophisticated to enjoy L.A. properly.
He's annoying as fuck for saying this, but I've met the guy and he probably knows what he's talking about.
Also, LA's a hole. 2003: Staring out the window of my plane as it banked over the coast, tilting my view downward, I happened to gaze upon the shallow, broad and unwashed mass of a small portion of Los Angeles. It was
yellow, and it stretched on for parsecs. It was like staring straight into madness.
abstaining from voting, this is worse than sophie's choice
CCCToad on 7/11/2009 at 04:17
well, if you want to know what Texas is like, you could always watch King of the Hill
Ok, not Really. But that show is more accurate than most "regional sitcoms"

I'm torn. I feel like I should defend L.A.'s honour against all these damn NoCal pansies slagging off on it, but at the same time I don't want Thief13x in my
state let alone in the city where I do my drinking.
My vote goes to Dallas, for the reasons stated by RBJ.

Cali is on the verge of legalising pot... how is this even a question?
There are more (medicinal) pot shops in L.A. than there are Starbucks (or so I've heard). And given a recent DOJ directive to federal law enforcement telling them not to bother wasting their resources investigating and prosecuting users and dealers of marijuana who are operating within the legal amounts of the state laws that allow medicinal usage... Yeah, it's pretty much legal in California.

Don't be silly faf, LA doesn't HAVE any honor. :D

And if the shops don't convince you, the fact that our rednecks grow pot instead of making moonshine should.
