OK, here's hoping the combined film knowledge of TTLG members will help me find the name of these films I saw ages ago! :cheeky:
The first film has a guy who finds an artifact, an wooden staff which allows travel between parallel worlds. But the bad guy has followed him and kills him for it. Years later the man's son (I think called Josh) is contacted by a woman who claims to be from a parallel world and needs his help to recover the staff his father found. She says that the villian wants to find all the staffs and use them for evil purposes and they are on a race to recover all the staffs to destroy them, keeping all worlds safe. Eventually the guy comes around and helps defeat the villian and all the staffs are gathered together and destroyed.
The second film is an horror movie. An old man wheelchair bounded is being terrorised by cats. Apparently his company developed an revolutionary drug that made him very rich but at the expense of the lives of thousands of cats whom the drug was tested on. The end of the film shows an cat jumping down the throat of the man, killing him.
So, let the quiz begin! :cheeky:

The first one sounds like Crossworlds, with Rutger Hauer. No clue on the second.

The second one is a segment from Tales From The Darkside: The Movie. It's titled "Cat From Hell" and the wheelchair-bound man is William Hickey (who also voiced the scientist from Nightmare Before Christmas).

Wow, thanks for the help Dia and Trance. :thumb:

Second one sounds like a bunch of hippy nonsense. Pretty freaky though.
Trance on 17/5/2009 at 14:00
It's more just Stephen King nonsense.

If there's cats and an old man in a wheelchair it's Stephen King.

The older he gets, the truer that gets. He's unreadable now.
